There's no denying that we live in a world where many bad things happen, and much of it SEEMS "undeserved". But we must acknowledge the following: God owes us NOTHING & we are all undeserving and unworthy of God's grace, mercy, love, forgiveness, blessings & salvation! 

So when people ask: "why do bad things happen to good people?" The biblical answer is that there are NO good people! "So Jesus said to him: "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God." (Luke 18:19) Then Romans 3:10 confirms further, "As it is written: 'There is none righteous, no, not one.." This means  that no one is good nor innocent. Yes, every person is valuable in God's eyes, because God created us in His image, and He loves us, but no one is good enough (that is, no one can earn right standing with God). Though we are valuable, we have fallen into sin. But God, through Jesus, His Son, has redeemed us and offers to forgive us if we turn to Him in faith.

So in truth, none of us deserves the life that we have, which is a gratuitous gift from God! May the Lord give us the wisdom and knowledge to understand this so we can humble ourselves before the Lord and others, and be forever grateful for this phenomenal gift of grace & salvation!  God bless you all!
